White Horse of Kilburn

Kilburn – 4.5 Miles

This old favourite takes you to the top of the most northerly turf-cut white horse in England. The path is directly above the White Horse so you can’t see much of the horse itself, but the linear route along the escarpment gives you ample opportunity to savour one of the finest views in England, from the top of Sutton Bank.

Sutton Bank National Park Centre

Sutton Bank – 5.4 miles

Vet and author James Herriot declared the tremendous view from the dramatic Sutton Bank escarpment over the Vale of Mowbray and the Vale of York, the "finest in England". So why not stop at the top of the bank, visit the Centre and blow away the cobwebs with a walk or cycle ride?
